22) The other sat down, sucking his cheroot.(Rewrite as a compound sentence)

Ans: The other sat down and sucking his cheroot.

23) you can’t get out of it now .(Rewrite using unable to)

Ans: is, am, are not able to = is, am, are unable to = can’t

Was, were not able to = was, were unable to = couldn’t

Ans: You are unable to get out of it now.

          24) If I prove you are bluffing , you must return that anna to me with interest.( Rewrite using-unless)

Ans: Type 1 जर पहिल्या वाक्यात If आणि not मिळत असेल तर I f च्या ऐवजी Unless लावावा व वाक्यातील not काढून घ्यावा व नंतरचे वाक्य जसेच्या तसे लिहावे .

Type : 2 – जर पहिल्या वाक्यात If भेटत असेल परंतु not नसेल तर If च्या ऐवजी unless लावावे व दुसऱ्या वाक्यातील Auxiliary verb च्या नंतर not लावावा .

     Ans: Unless I prove you are bluffing , you must not return that anna to me with interest .
