3) The place was lit up by shop lights.(change the voice / Begin your sentence with – Shop lights)
Ans: Shop lights lit up the place.
4) He had left his village without any previous thought or plan.(Rewrite using neither-nor)
Ans: He had left his village neither any previous thought nor plan.
5) It was a remarkable place.
( Make it exclamatory sentence)
Ans: a very = What, a/an = what
       very = how
What a remarkable place it was!
6 ) He was as much a stranger to the stars as were his innocent customers.(use as well as)
Ans: He as well as his innocent Customers were stranger to the stars.
7) One or two had hissing gaslight.(Identify the tense)
Ans: Simple past Tense
8) Punctually at midnight he opened his bag(Change the voice)
Ans: His bag was opened by him punctually at midnight.
           OR
His bag opened punctually at midnight by him.
9) This colour scheme never failed. (Make it Rhetorical question)
Ans: Did this colour Scheme fail?
10) He said things which pleased and astonished everyone.(Rewrite using ‘not only – but also)
Ans: He said things which not only pleased but also astonished everyone.
