2.1 ON SAYING PLEASE

This blog is regarding the textual grammar of the 12th M.S. Educational, State Board Syllabus.

On Saying Please

   Textual Grammar

1)He not only declined to comply with the instruction but hold the passenger out of the lift .(Use as well as)

Ans:- He declined to comply with the instruction as well as hurled the passnger out of the lift.

(Remove not only find out uncommon part and put as well as between two uncommon part or words, remove but / but also)

2) We must admit that the law is reasonable. (Make it negative without changing meaning )

Ans:-we must not deny that the law is reasonable.

(While solving make it negative use words of negation such as not ,no, forbid etc after Auxiliary verb ie here must and put opposite word of deny that is admit)

3) It will permit me to retaliate with reasonable violence .(Change the voice)

Answer:- It will be permitted to retaliate with reasonable violence .

4) It does not excuse assault and battery .

(Change the voice)

Answer:-Assault and battery are not excused.

(O+AV+(is,am,are)+V3+by+S)

5) The law does not compel me to say please. (Rewrite as an interrogative or rhetorical sentence)

Answer:-Does the law compel me to say please?

(Look at the sentence and find out whether it is positive or negative sentence if it is positive make it negative and if it is negative make it positive start with auxiliary verb which is given in the sentence put the question mark at the end) 

6) It was a question of please.( Add question tag)

Answer:-It was a question of please, wasn’t it?
